DEFINITION

Classification: 83/794

(under subclass 788) Device provided with means for moving or permitting movement of the "cutting edge" in a plane in which the cutting span lies and in a direction having a component perpendicular to the "cutting edge" and toward and through the work.

(1) Note. The term "plane" as used in this definition, is a generalized one, inasmuch as devices are in this and the indented subclasses in which the cutting span moves in a "plane" which is the surface of an imaginary cylinder.
