DEFINITION

(under subclass 601) Apparatus wherein the tool or tool holder is actuated by two bars pivotally joined together at their ends, the other end of one bar being pivotally attached to the tool holder and the other end of the second bar being pivotally mounted to an element which is fixed with respect to the path of the tool holder motion, the bars being so oriented that movement of the bars so as to put the centers of the three pivots in line will actuate the tool or tool holder in a cutting stroke.
