DEFINITION

(under subclass 523) Apparatus with means for moving or permitting movement of a cutting member from an effective cutting position to a retracted or noncutting position, and

back to cutting position again.

(1) Note. The cutting member must remain attached to the apparatus; this subclass does not take patents where the cutting member is detached and laid aside to be again mounted at a subsequent time.
