DEFINITION

(under subclass 331) Device wherein means is provided to shift or flex the work in a direction generally normal to the direction in which it is fed to the cutter, said means acting on the work intermediate the supply source of the work and the cutting zone of the machine; e.g., so as to vary the amount of work fed to the cutter without changing the speed of the work-feed means.
