(under subclass 202) Device wherein the tool or an array of tools which are actuated during one dwell period has such extent in the direction of work-feed that cuts made during successive dwell periods overlap or intermingle.
(1) Note. Devices in this subclass are frequently used to shred or cut small pieces from a web by serrated cutters.
