Method of breeding involving a genotypic or phenotypic marker:

(under subclass 260) Method wherein the breeding process includes the linkage of specific phenotypic traits with genotypic or phenotypic markers.

(1) Note. Introduction of a marker such as an antibiotic

resistance gene to facilitate breeding would be proper subject matter for this subclass as well as methods involving visual selection of a plant phenotype.
