(under subclass 260) Method wherein the stable or transient change produced in a plant or plant part results in a change in the pH or the absolute or relative amount of one or more ions in the plant.

(1) Note. A qualitative change to an ion composition actually represents a change in relative concentrations of the component ions, and as such, is a quantitative change which is included in this subclass.
