DEFINITION

Classification: 74/357

(under subclass 325) Transmissions wherein there are a plurality of slidable keys or clutches splined to a plurality of shafts which are connected to each other by constant mesh gears revoluble on the shafts, and provided with clutch elements adapted to be engaged by the slidable clutches or keys, the keys or clutches being manually shifted in a manner to provide a progressive change in gear ratio.
