(under subclass 437) Apparatus wherein the tool retracting means is a pliant belt fastened at one end to the tool and at the other end to a device (e.g., crank, disk or the like) that moves cyclically.

(1) Note. In use, as the device moves through part of its cyclic movement it lifts the tool and during the remainder of the movement of the device the tool is free to drop.
