Rule-based reasoning system:

(under subclass 46) Subject matter comprising an inferencing method or system using logic processing that (1) starts with a set of known facts and applies rules to the facts until no new facts are generated (i.e., forward chaining), or (2) starts with a goal, finds rules to fit the goal, and checks to determine if known facts fit the rules (i.e., backward chaining).

(1) Note. This subclass includes event-driven rule-based reasoning, hypothetical reasoning and rules having priority ordering.
