Apparatus for the treatment of hides, skins or leather by the

use of a tool which is positively rotated about its own axis during contact with the hide, skin or leather worked upon.

(1) Note. The tool may be of any configuration such as a scraper, roll, brush roll, smooth roll, et cetera.

(2) Note. Machines having tools which are rotated solely by contact with the hide, skin, or leather being worked upon are not in this subclass, or indented subclasses, for which see the appropriate subclass below.
