DEFINITION

Classification: 66/15

Where there are two needle beds of which one needle bed is flat with the needles radially arranged, while the other is cylindrical with the needles arranged to slide lengthwise of the same. The strand-engaging ends of the needles of one bed are bent substantially at right angles to the shank or jack portions, and the jacks are mounted upon a pivot and constitute levers for carrying and actuating the needles.
