Classification: 623/6

Intraocular lens:

(under subclass 4) Subject matter manufactured or adapted to replace or assist a substitute for a natural crystalline lens intended to be implanted or surgically attached to a natural eye as a permanent replacement thereof.

(1) Note. An optical lens structure which is disclosed as being designed for direct contact with the eye, usually the cornea, but is removable and not intended to be permanently fixed to the eye is classified as a contact-type lens found elsewhere. See Search Notes below.
