(1) Note. Cryogenics is the study, production, and utilization of extremely low temperatures. To precisely define the cryogenic range is difficult since the literature ambiguously defines the upper limit to be from 220 degrees to 400 R (-240 to -60 F). For the purposes of this class, the cryogenic temperature range will be construed to vary between absolute zero and about 400 R.
