Surgical mesh, connector, clip, clamp or band:

(under subclass 1) Subject matter comprising elements or devices which are adapted to be applied during a surgical procedure of joining portions of body tissue either by: (1) the application of a fenestrated surgical mat or net-like support means; (2) use of a cooperatively interengaging holding means; (3) an element which binds or interdigitates and fastens together or (4) an element which encircles and grips a portion of tissue.
