The distinction in subject matter between this subclass and subclasses 365+ is as follows: In this subclass a ring which is present in a molecule at the start of the process contains more carbon atoms or less carbon atoms at the end of the process. The phenomena involved are both ring opening and ring closing. In subclasses 365+ a molecule or moiety which is not a ring at the start of the process is a ring or part of a ring at the end of the process.
