(under subclass 512) Processes for producing acyclic carboxylic acids from sources of undetermined compositions, e.g., industrial wastes such as distillery slops, fermentation residues, and waste sulphite liquor. Examples of acids produced from these sources are acetic, oxalic, and glutamic acids and their salts.
