DEFINITION

Classification: 523/218

Process of forming a composition having a nonreactant material selected for its special void characteristic; or composition containing same, e.g., syntactic foam, etc.:

(under subclass 1) Subject matter wherein a nonreactant or nonsolid polymer material which is described as having at least one void therein is admixed with a material so as to form a composition therewith, or the composition formed from such an admixing process, e.g., syntactic foams, etc.

(1) Note. A material will not be considered as having a void therein unless it is specifically noted in the claims or solely described in the specification as having voids.

(2) Note. Included within the definition of void are those materials described as containing cells, pores, cavities, interstices or fissures.

(3) Note. Included herein are those processes wherein the void may be subsequently filled or destroyed.
