DEFINITION

Anaerobic adhesive or thread sealing composition or process of preparing:

(under subclass 1) Subject matter wherein a composition having utility as an anaerobic adhesive or thread sealant is claimed or solely disclosed or to processes of preparation thereof.

(2) Note. An anaerobie adhesive is defined to be an adhesive which remains liquid in the presence of air but which

polymerizes upon the exclusion of air to form a hard, durable resin with adhesive properties. A thread sealant is defined to be composition designed to obtain an adequate seal at high pressures for a threaded connection, such as a pipe joint.

(3) Note. A composition which is not solely disclosed as being an anaerobic adhesive or thread sealant is placed as appropriate in Classes 523 and 524 hereinbelow.
