Embedded in settable material:

(under subclass 125.2) Structure in which the engaging means

is, or is attached to an element that is, intimately surrounded and held, i.e., embedded, in an initially fluent material which has hardened, i.e., set, into a firm connection with the engaging means or element all of which substantially forms the construction or primary component.

(1) Note. Examples of settable materials are concrete, cement and plaster.

(2) Note. Engaging means which are screwed, nailed, or otherwise attached to the construction or primary component after it has been made are not proper for this subclass.
