Work penetrating member:

(under subclass 390) Method or apparatus wherein a workpiece includes a sharp edge and is intended to fasten by the act of that edge piercing into the other workpiece.

(1) Note. Penetration of this subclass is for the purpose of bringing about an assembly and not for the purpose for forming an opening in the pierced workpiece.
