DEFINITION

Classification: 49/301

(under subclass 279) Device wherein the operator includes a flexible chain, rope or the like which is grasped by hand and pulled to move the closure in one direction and to effect disengagement of the latch, and wherein the closure movement in the other direction is obtained by means other than the pull cable, e.g., a spring.
