(under subclass 114) Subject matter wherein one of the surfaces is on a flaccid, filamentary member which is convoluted around a different member and moves therealong while in adjacent contact therewith.

(1) Note. The different member may, for example, rotate at a peripheral speed slower than that of the rope, include curved surfaces which are in close contact with the moving rope, be a stationary cylindrical member, etc.
