Cupola structures for producing water-gas by the alternate process by first blasting and then decomposing steam. The water-gas thus produced is then carbureted by the addition of a hydrocarbon fluid, oil vapor, or oil-gas. In this subclass the water-gas is passed through an ordinary carbureting vessel containing oil.
