(under subclass 415) Subject matter comprising either (a) an elongated, generally rectangular block of firm resilient material mounted or intended to be mounted in or on the ground at a pitching location on a baseball playing field, or (b) means for forming a raised area at a pitching location on an otherwise generally level baseball playing field so as to simulate the mound of earth normally provided at that location on an earthen baseball playing field.
