(under subclass 230) Subject matter including significant means for controlling the degree to which a signal transmission system, consisting of a receiver system,
reproduces at its output the essential characteristics of a signal impressed upon the input.
(1) Note. Systems which involve nothing more than noise elimination or control means will not be found in this subclass but, unless claimed as part of a more comprehensive system, will be classified in subclasses 296+.
