Sleeved vent for ceiling, wall, or floor (e.g., thimble):
(under subclass 254) Subject matter comprising a casing which acts alone and is inserted in an interior top, side, or bottom structural barrier of the (ventilated) space to direct air from an unconfined location outside of the space to an adjacent unconfined location on an opposite side of the barrier and within the space.
(1) Note. An air distributing register which works in conjunction with an inlet duct is not included in this subclass. The adjacent air on opposite sides of the barrier must be unconfined by ducting or like structures.
(2) Note. An exterior, wall-type louver panel is not included in this and indented subclasses unless the panel guides air through a barrier directly into the ventilated space.
