Erasing shield:
(under subclass 442) Accessory intended to be used in association with an eraser, which accessory is either (a) to be interposed between the active surface of a carbon sheet and an underlying sheet to prevent sullying of the underlying sheet during an erasure operation or (b) has holes therethrough to define limits of an erasure area when the accessory is positioned over a sheet requiring erasure.
(1) Note. An "eraser" is a device intended to remove a coating from a surface, generally wherein that coating comprises printed information.
