DEFINITION

Annular or center contact secured to lamp-type insulating receptacle or base:

(under subclass 733.1) Electrical connector wherein the insulating body has a contact attached or fastened thereto and is either (a) in the form of a receptacle having a cylindrical blind recess extending partially therein for receiving the cylindrical male portion of a mating plug of the type which carries a light-emitting device, or (b) in the form of a plug of the type which carries a light-emitting device and which carries a cylindrical male portion adapted to be received within the cylindrical recess of a mating receptacle; and wherein the contact is either (1) in the form of a cylindrically-shaped tube, shell, or ring and is symmetrically located within the cylindrical recess of the receptacle or symmetrically located on the exterior surface of the cylindrical male portion of the plug, or (2) in the form of a disc or button and is centrally located at the bottom of the cylindrical recess of the receptacle or centrally located on the end of the cylindrical male portion of the plug.
