Means to transmit or apply force to tooth:

(under subclass 2) Subject matter relating to either (a) a strandlike member adapted to be secured to a bracket and placed under tension to apply force to a tooth, or (b) a device adapted to engage two brackets or teeth, or a bracket and arch wire, for creating a force between a tooth and arch wire.
