Electrically ignited primer ignites charge:

(under subclass 358) Apparatus having a small quantity of a substance which (a) is ignited as a result of its proximity to a resistance wire which is heated when an electrical current is passed therethrough or (b) is ignited as a result of its own electrical resistance when an electrical current is passed therethrough, whereby when said small quantity of substance is ignited, it will in turn cause the quickly burnable substance to ignite and produce the desired burst of light.
