DEFINITION

Classification: 430/219

Silver halide developing retarder or antifoggant:

(under subclass 218) Subject matter containing an ingredient functioning to retard the development of exposed silver halide or an ingredient which retards or prevents the formation of fog in a radiation-sensitive layer.

(1) Note. For purposes of this subclass, fog is defined as the formation of silver density in areas of the radiation sensitive silver halide layer not imagewise exposed to radiation.
