(under subclass 64) Traps in which the animal as it enters steps into a compartment or cage that descends to a lower level because of the weight of the animal, thus cutting off his escape, and allows him to leave the compartment at a lower level, whereupon the compartment ascends to its original position, thus leaving the animal trapped in a cage or otherwise disposed of.
