(under subclass 114) Traps for insects which comprise an

upright more or less rigid pole or rod serving as a perch or roost for the insects, which rod has a receptacle for an adhesive slidable thereon. The receptacle, when moved up and down, coats the rod with the adhesive and removes caught flies and when in its lowest position catches any surplus adhesive which may run down the rod.
