(under subclass 65) Apparatus in which a fluid may be pumped by the direct action thereon of a compressing chamber or container and a liquid forming part of said compressing chamber or container, the body of liquid in effect constituting a piston in said container whereby relative movement between said liquid and said container varies the volume of a space in said chamber or container to pump the fluid.
