(under subclass 559) Apparatus in which a portion of the valve means or valve supporting means extends into the pumping chamber from a fixed wall thereof and in which a wall of the pumping member is provided with a groove, recess or indentation for receiving said valve means or valve supporting means during movement of the pumping member in the normal operation thereof in the pumping chamber.
