A device of the type disclosed as a hollow piston or plunger through which the pump fluid flows and in which such fluid is discharged from said piston or plunger through openings therein into a casing or space which slidably receives such piston or plunger, and in which an end face of said piston or plunger further acts upon said fluid to move the same from said casing or space, is excluded from this subclass. Such device is classified below on other features. However, when the piston is also provided with a fluid conduit fixed thereto and the fluid is discharged by the said end face into the conduit for ultimate discharge, said device is included under this definition.
