DEFINITION

Classification: 417/534

(under subclass 521) Apparatus in which the plural pumping chambers are formed at opposite ends of a common pumping member which moves to-and-fro along a straight line (includes diaphragm), movement of said pumping member effecting expansion of one of said pumping chambers and simultaneous contraction of the other.

(1) Note. Plural pumping chambers formed in separate cylinders are included under this definition if the cylinders are coaxial and contain pumping members which are rigidly interconnected.
