(under subclass 490) Apparatus in which the port through which pump fluid flows to or from the pump chamber is formed in an end wall of the pump chamber (i.e., that portion of the pump chamber not traversed by the pumping member), the pumping member or element carried thereby being effective to intermittently obstruct fluid flow through said port by alternately entering into and exiting from or abuttingly seating on same.
