(under subclass 321) Apparatus in which the pump is driven by an electric motor comprising rotatable armature and stator portions, said armature rotating in a chamber which is fluidly isolated from said stator, and in which the pumped fluid communicates with said armature containing chamber.
(1) Note. Included under this definition are devices in which the armature containing chamber is either in open communication with the pumped fluid or in restricted communication with the pump fluid through a leakage path.
