DEFINITION

Classification: 417/306

(under subclass 279) Apparatus in which the flow control means controls a passage communicating with the atmosphere and the inlet of a pump or pumping chamber of a pump and is operative in response to a condition of such pump to admit atmospheric air to the pump inlet or pumping chamber to reduce or destroy the normal vacuum which exists in the inlet or in the pumping chamber during the intake stroke of the pump.
