(under the class definition) Apparatus in which the pump is mounted on or proximate to an object and is powered by the relative motion of movable parts of the object or by motion of the object as a whole, the object being of special construction or adaptation to perform a particular function other than (1) a supporting function, or (2) the pumping which forms the basic subject matter of this class.
(1) Note. This definition includes a pump operator in the form of a treadle, rail section, etc., which is actuated by the passing of a vehicle thereover.
