DEFINITION

Classification: 416/80

(under subclass 79) Apparatus comprising a weight arranged relative to the working member and acting as (1) a swinging member to regulate the motion of the working member or the drive motor (e.g., clock), (2) a mass to counterbalance the mass of the working member or (3) an inertia mass or flywheel to smooth out the oscillatory motion of the working member and permit it to continue its motion even after removal of the drive means.
