DEFINITION

Classification: 416/12

(under subclass 10) Apparatus wherein the impeller is oriented at an angle to the direction of working fluid flow in response to folding or feathering of a vane or rudder which tends to maintain a position aligned with the direction of flow.

(1) Note. The vane or rudder folding or feathering includes shifting of a substantially flat vane or rudder surface from a vertical toward a horizontal plane or varying the extent of the effective flat surface.
