181MEANS, DISPOSITION OR ARRANGEMENT FOR CAUSING SUPERSONIC WORKING FLUID VELOCITY

DEFINITION

Classification: 415/181

(under the class definition) Apparatus comprising an element, member or arrangement of element or apparatus parts to provide for working fluid* velocity of greater than the speed of sound through some apparatus part.

(1) Note. The speed of sound or the velocity of propagation of compressional waves in the working fluid* varies as the temperature and pressure of use; a clear disclosure in the specification that supersonic velocity is obtained is sufficient to qualify under this definition.
