Load-receiving portion also shiftable longitudinally:

(under subclass 469) Apparatus wherein the load-receiving portion is mounted for movement also in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, which movement may occur before, during, or after the pivotable movement of the portion.

(1) Note. The weight of the load may cease to remain on the portion even though the load remains in proximity thereto (e.g.,., as in the instance of unloading a boat into a body of water).
