(under subclass 11) Apparatus further provided with means which automatically stops or interrupts an operation of the apparatus or a portion thereof upon the sensing of an abnormal or unpredicted occurrence of an event, condition, or state which can occur during any portion of the operation of the apparatus.
(1) Note. A typical abnormal condition could be a misfeeding of a workpiece, i.e., the workpiece does not properly register, or the workpiece is not of proper dimensions required, etc.
