DEFINITION

(under subclass 37) Device comprising a reservoir* or a retainer for solid coating material and wherein one of the tools* is an applicator* combined with the reservoir or retainer for receiving material* by direct contact of the tool with the material; and wherein the applicator is completely separable from the reservoir or retainer for removal of material from such reservoir or retainer and for application of the removed material to a work surface.
(1) Note. A mere tenuous connection, such as a chain or flexible strand, between a supply container and a separable tool will not bar placement of a patent including such structure from this subclass.
