Detent-release structure:

(under subclass 555) Subject matter wherein said first mechanism for effecting normal increments of platen* rotation includes a ratchet* disc having teeth and notches on the peripheral edge thereof and being connected to the platen, a pawl* that engages in one of the notches between the teeth and moves to rotate the platen incrementally, and a detent (i.e., and arm having a protrusion that meshes with one of the notches to restrain rotation at the incremental position), and wherein said second mechanism includes means for moving the protrusion of said detent out of mesh with any of the notches, and wherein significance is attributed to structure that effects or enables the movement of the detent.
