(under subclass 383) Subject matter wherein significance is attributed to means for applying ink* to the type-face* element prior to impressing the type-face against the record-medium* directly (i.e., without the use of an interposed inking ribbon*).

(1) Note. In this subclass the type-face carries its own supply of ink in the form of ink that is impregnated into the type-face element.
